In a lot of cities that would be better. However, having the All-Star Game in Columbus is the one chance for those fans to see top level hockey. Please NHL owners and NHLPA, do it for the poor Columbus hockey fans! (then award a Winter Classic to someone out west, like Minnesota, Colorado, Vancouver, heck Dodger Stadium showed interest, and they have done it before in Vegas!)

Plus, since almost all of Ohio is a three hour or less drive from Nationwide, CBJ has about 11 million potential fans to draw from. The size of the city is NOT the problem. The fact that the owner, the president, and the GM are the three biggest assclowns in the NHL is the problem.

I don’t think the first games of the year will be played until around Dec.10, They will settle in time to have the Wings in shape to play in the winter classic since this event has become such a huge moneymaker. The schedule would be compressed and they won’t break for the all star game. Really hope that I am wrong about this but you all know how big business operates, even in the sports world.
