That $7.5 M Suter contract must be looking pretty good to Edler’s agent, especially when you compare Edler’s 11 goals and 49 points to Suter’s 7 goals and 46 points last season.

Absolutely no question Edler could garner 6-7 M on the open market, if not more.

The real question is will he take the Canuck discount (likely $4.7 – $5 M) or go and get paid? I’m sure the Wings & Flyers, among many others, would be opening up the cheque book in a hurry next summer.
