I thik the European leagues will open their doors a little bit. The guys we expect to go to Europe in the lockout like Danny Briere, Milan Hejduk and Joe Thornton will likely go to Europe during the lockout

I can completely see the articles point about reluntancy on the part of the Euro(SEL, SM, Swiss) leagues to open its doors. It must be hard to rebound the year after being injected with all that blockbuster talent when the players go back to North America. It could actually set the league back by losing unsatisfied fans, just a thought.

Yet,I see it more than likely that the KHL might be inclined to open the flood gates. After these past couple of years battling over players with the NHL, what a good opportunity for the russian league to have an open house, so to speak, and show the North Americans what its like. With the inflated salary to talent ratio over there and lockout drama going on back home, im sure that not everyone will come back when an agreement is made. I hope the owners are aware of this potential loss because we are in trouble if this lockout does occur.
