Does Vancouver really think any GM will give them anything of value for Luongo. Nobody in his right mind would give Luoungo a deal like that if he were an unrestricted free agent. So, why would a GM give up a player AND be stuck with that crappy contract? Luongo is stuck in Vancouver until they decide to cut their losses and take next to nothing for him.

All Schneider has to do is get the team into the playoffs and give the team a chance to win every night in the playoffs. The only record that matters in Vancouver is 0 Stanley Cups.

I just hope we have a vet back up and Lack plays another year in the minors. The last thing the team needs is Schneider to struggle at some point and then hear a bunch of idiots calling for Lack to become the starter, especially in Schneids first year as starter. We are Vancouver after all….. If you’re our starting goalie, we will eventually turn on you. On the other hand though, Schneider seems as cool and calm as they come, so I don’t see him having seeds of doubt planted if he struggles. It’s about getting a Cup though. Luongo’s records aren’t going anywhere for at least 7 seasons, likely never though. Go Schneids, it’s your time!!!!
