This is why I’ve been waiting for Canucks Day on PHT, because besides being a fan I first started reading Mike Halford and Jason Brough on the Orlando Kurtenblog, the official Canucks blog of The Province newspaper. These guys should have plenty of insight (and maybe some incite) for the readers of PHT.

@Ron: Understandable, but if you expect the content of the first article to be pretty pedantic stuff (like the others have been) why bother reading them?

They are almost a placeholder to let people know what’s coming up and give them an idea they might want to pay attention if their favourite (or least favourite) team is due up. I’ve stuck to mostly the offseason reports and any of the specific articles for that reason.

I’d have to agree Ron. Insight and analysis have been pretty sub par. Could be though that the excellent writers at PFT and PST have spoiled me with great writing and analysis for almost all articles.

I imagine it is hard for the PHT writers. For me you would need 30 die hard fans who can evaluate their team and the league both fully and without bias. Not to mention they need to be able to write.

ha ha, not so much a comment on the Canucks but this whole “review 30 teams in 30 days,” which really hasn’t been very illuminating or an in-depth analysis.

But just focusing on the Pens and Flyers earlier in July was entertainment enough in the comments section, so I guess it was worthwhile in the end.
