When Hall is on the ice, he’s the best player on the ice and he’s only going to get better.

I don’t think so because he had a solid track record;82, 79 and 82 games played in the first 3 years.

Tavares’ contract extension should be the benchmark, at $5.5 per for 6 years. Those are very manageable numbers when you’re setting a team precedent, and especially when you’ve got more rising stars on the way.

This is a tough extension, what do you base his new contract on? Potential? Results so far? Combination of both? Hall has shown he’s a talented young player, but he’s missed so much time due to injury, this is a tricky contract for both sides, in the end I think the Oilers will base it more on potential in the hopes that they’re finally on to something and he’ll be the leader of that.
