I’m somewhat surprised, or perhaps surprised that Brule hasn’t been able to get traction – and his – in the NHL. I watched him development and rise through the WHL with the Vancouver Giants where he excelled and thought that he’d have a promising NHL career.

Perhaps his development was rushed too quickly with Columbus? I don’t know. I thought when the Oilers picked him up that he’d have an opportunity to stick and grow with a young team.

But it just seems disappointing that it hasn’t panned out for him in the NHL. At least thus far.
