JVR showed what he can do when he is healthy and plays as if he is a PWF. I like what Schenn brings physically. He will be the hitter the Flyers sorely lacked last year. I think it could be one of those rare trades that works out for both teams if JVR stays healthy and Schenn can return to form. Big ‘ifs’ but it’ll be interesting to see.

Schenn will have a big workload with all the injuries on the Flyers’ blue line so he’ll really need to step up. I hope that pressure doesn’t mess up his game even more, I’ve always liked him and he can be a good D-man when he’s on his game.

Not sure if I was a player under contract for another year if I would sign an extension that kicks in after the new CBA right now. At least not if i was players like Max. If I was gonna sign a long 10+ year deal than now is the time. But the rumor of the owners wanting a 5 year limit isn’t really that big of a deal since he “only” signed for 6 years. The risk of the NHLPA having to talk a roll back in salary would make me want to wait to sign the extension.
