How can this be the right guy? They took 6 weeks to give the job to Renny’s associate head coach, sounds like a team that got spurned by a bunch of “candidates” before they settled.

“For the third straight year, the Edmonton Oilers were given the first overall pick…” Sums up the last 6 years of… well… rebuilding… including coaching and methods.

Been a tough HC run for the Oil – hopefully the carousel has stopped with the ‘right man’.

Like Colorado, the Oilers are poised to attempt to FINALLY prove that their rebuilding has actually ended… and that they’ve ‘BUILT’ a contending team.

Unlike the Avs, the Oilers have taken definite steps to prove they’ve adjusted.
