PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

CSN Washington continues it’s look at the players who could make up Team USA in the 2014 Winter Games. This time they’re talking about defensemen. It shouldn’t surprise you that Ryan Suter is regarded as a lock to make the team. (CSN Washington)

Where did you saw that at?

Pass on Rozsival – “plagued by injuries the past few seasons”

Pass on Clark – “led the Lightning with 199 blocked shots”…whoohoo… but “was minus-26″ (-51 career). Last season – 294th of 297 D-men… on a team that averaged +13… Did I mention P-A-S-S on Clark.

Maybe Colaiacovo – “17 assists in 64 games last season with the Blues”

    Cam barker

They WILL sign another defensemen. They can’t expect all 6 that they have now to stay healthy for 82 games. It doesn’t even matter who it is at this point, they will probably be 7th in the rotation.

I wouldn’t mind barker or colaiacovo but I would rather trade for yandle, but not for bouwmeester I never cared too much for that guy
