Talk about an understatement or what, eh ? … how about a disappointing decade ! In all seriousness though, I actually do wish the best for the Sharks and their fans. They’re an excellent team and there’s every reason for them to be a “cup contender” year in and year out. As far as I’m concerned, right now their biggest problem is McClellan and Wilson … toy get rid of them and it’s “hello 3rd round ” … no two ways about it ! Robinson’s presence there will be huge and if the ownership had any brains, then they’d “get on with it” right now and give him the reins …

The dearth of meaty commentary in your off season report signals one thing – status quo. Add a couple new coaches and hope that things will change. IMO, this is a recipe for disaster for an aging team. Fairytale stories come true every long while – so if Cinderella comes to ball and gets the glass slipper and the Prince, it may be a swan song fairy tale story “win one for the gipper (thornton)”.

I doubt it though. The Burns acquisition didn’t provide the necessary spark and the right pieces of the puzzle don’t seem to be there.

Right now with minimal improvement the team is slightly better then last seasons first round failure team.
