None of you fools have a clue what your talking about. Take off the rangers goggles and take a peek. You went from 2 to 3 big egos (when Gaborik returns) to buck heads with Torts’ even bigger ego.

The reason they couldn’t score was because they were weak on a defensive game plan (not talent) so instead of working to figure it out Tortorella put on a band-aid and had the entire team collapsing in front of Lundqvist blocking shots. Yes, Gaborik was benched for not blocking a shot. Had nothing to do with his shoulder.

You have very little cap space as it is, and Lundqvist’s contract is about to expire along with several other kids.

Also, a big piece of the CBA is to outlaw burying contracts in the minors (calling Mr Redden) and that might also count on the cap if it goes through without a buyout window. If Lundqvist gets injured for any long period, then the Rangers will be The NY Islanders II. I hear Olli Jokinen is looking to play in NY.

You’re an idiot. They were one of the lowest scoring playoff teams. How would trading Gaborik help? Tortorella was quoted as saying when you have a guy like Nash you have to let him loose. Gaborik wasn’t benched for not blocking a shot. He was rested for playing with a torn rotator cuff. If you’re going to comment at least know your crap.

Yeah because they shipped out Callahan, Girardi, McDonough, Staal, Stepan, Boyle, etc… Identity is clearly gone. Losing two bottom six forwards doesn’t change the team’s identity as long as the remaining pieces continue in the same direction. Gaborik and Richards really were detracting from the teams identity last season too. Fool.

Yeah, a blue collar mentality is nice, but you need to score goals to win. The Rangers didn’t have enough pure goal-scoring talent to do it last season. Let’s hold off on talking about how this team can’t gel until they actually, you know… Play a game or two. I for one think Nash will fit in fine and have no problem playing sufficiently in his own zone. Everyone seems to end up in Tortsy’s crosshairs during the season for one reason or another… I’m sure Nash will be prepared when his moment comes and it won’t affect his play overall, just like it didn’t affect Gabby’s ability to pot 40.

Give Nash 50 games before Tortsy loses his lunch. Rangers should have kept the team they had and maybe traded Gaborik away. I can’t wait when Torts benches Nash for not blocking shots like a human sandbag. Once Gaborik, Richards, and Nash get together and show Tortorella that their contracts outlive his, it’s all gonna collapse. Sather should have kept the blue collar team he had. They were gelled and strong. They trusted each other, and played for each other. that’s all out the window now that you have 3 new captains on one team with 3 different styles. Richards was the good signing. Gaborik and Nash were not.
