We lost:
aging(clearly demonstrated) Jagr, turnover machine in Carle, Injury-proned JVR and BOB, who had no chnace of being a starter, even thoough, i thought he is same or better than Bryz.
We got: Schenn which is a need on D-Line, Rusty- experience and hockey sense, Leighton – good enough to be a backup and possibly Webere. the best d-man in the league. So i would say good job Holmgeren and loose sleep you haters

Eagles looked great on paper, chemistry is huge . With or without weber Philly is talent rich and will be in the mix for the cup.

Can anyone knocking this team name a better top 6? That’s less of a question and more of a challenge: Really, provided the Weber sheet isn’t matched, and he finds his way into Orange and Black, find a team out there with a better 3 pairings on it’s blue line…

Can’t do it.

IF Weber goes through, while it guarantees nothing from a Championship prospective, eveyone in the new “Conference-D” grouping will let out a collective “son of a…” about having to play in the same conference as this team.

I’ll wait until the Weber thing is settled before predicting things. All I know is that Bryz is gonna be better this year than last year (I call last year an adjustment period. He better shine this year).

As a devoted lightning fan, I would like to see Philly get weber just to make the hockey better to watch. Whether they can make it to the playoffs depends on their goaltending. Matt Carle got way over paid. (just thought I’d say something before pens trolls take over)

If they land weber, I can see them being 1st overall in the east. But can they get far in the playoffs? Weber will help Bryz out a lot. But will it be enough?

I’m not a flyers fan, really dislike them. HOWEVER it is hard to deny that they have talent and lots of it.
