I believe you mean Jarome Iginla! Toews, Crosby, Heatly and Getzlaf who all had more points and played a bigger role than Nash did…and I didn’t even get to the defensmen!

This guy Howson doesn’t remember what the Rangers offered at the trade deadline? He has to “check his notes”? The biggest trade of his GM career and he can’t remember whether the team he traded his superstar to sweetened the deal? Not only should he be fired for making this trade he should be fired for saying stupid things to the media. This I guy is incompetence personified!

If the Flyers had traded for Nash they’d be in no position now to get Weber. The Flyers scored plenty of goals but had a big problem on the backend. Let’s see a top 3 defenseman (in the NHL) or a top 20 forward, for just about the same cap hit….which one do you think you’re better off with? Quit complaining!

Rick Nash is 9 seasons in, he’s peaked to. He is what he is and he’ll get his 30-35 goals 60-65 points, good to pretty good but not the superstar he’s made out to be.

watch howson quickly and awkwardly break eye contact with the interviewer and look behind him when he makes the statement, “this deal doesn’t get done until we get the right value” at about 2:40 in the video. he know’s he f***ed up bad….

the reason the rangers stuck around for so long was because Howson presumably “consistently” thought the rangers were back to their 90s/2000s selves where they would blow the team up for a superstar…not this time buddy. dubi and arty had about 5 years to develop and they both seem to have peaked…good luck to you boys in cbj and thanks for bringing us a superstar while also letting us keep younger players with more potential (read: hagelin, CK, mdz, mcd, steps, miller, etc)
