Lot of fans are still loyal to the franchise though. Hockey does run deep around here, even if the fan base isn't as big as some would like. I just don't think Preds fans frequent hockey sites as much as fans of other teams, lol.

It's a step back and a loss to lose these players, but in the end I think it'll be alright. The 'rebuild' talk concerns me, but I'm willing to see how the Predators pan out this coming season.

Man where are all of the "changing of the guard" Pred fans now...that lasted all of 1 playoff run...anyway but in all seriousness this is as bad at it gets, I kinda feel bad for the Preds because I truly thought they were really putting something great together and if they lose Weber too I'm not sure they will bounce back for a few years

As a Preds STH, I agree fully with both of you... They have beat the odds so many times that you can never really count them out, no matter whose taking the ice. Its nice to actually read a couple of positive, objective comments on the Preds for once... instead of the bashing that goes on here way too often. No matter what happens in the next couple of days, the fan base here is strong and will support the Preds with any team that hits the ice.

Somekat, I agree. So much could happen. The only thing for sure is that the Preds have come through hard times before and will do it again.

Don't know that the Predators preview/day should of happened yet. Much like Philly, the entire article will have a different feel to it (one way or the other) in 3-4 days. If they keep Weber, they will compete for the lower seeds in the western playoff race. If they lose Weber for picks, they are going to be in trouble next year. If they lose weber and wind up making a swap for a few players, you would have to see what they get in return.
