On the one hand, you can’t blame Doan for wanting get his hands on the Cup before it’s all “said and and done” … after all, he’s a decent enough guy, he’s been committed to his team and he’s always carried himself well. Nonetheless, it could also be argued that his actions today, are no different than some aged, albeit “still” attractive housewife, who’s come to the realization that her days as an “item” are winding down and therefore she “takes to the town” in search of young company for “self” reassurance. Personally I tend to side with the notion of “gutting it out” until the end, come hell or high water. In my case that’s proven to be the right course of action, as after 39 years as a “devoted” fan, this year “my” Los Angeles Kings finally reached the “high ground” and destroyed the field in detail ! So I don’t know about this Doan business, other than the fact that his “adulterous” posturing has now likely closed the door in terms of remaining with “that which he served” for the past 16 years ?

Yup, I’m sure that’ll scare him away from Philly for sure.
