Uhm, it’s called leverage. The player visits a ton of cities and then floats out the idea that he’s really interested in two of the cities he visited and it raises his price. It also puts Phoenix on notice to sweeten their deal, even though everyone knows he probably won’t leave.

Just cause he dislikes Bryz doesn’t stop him from working the leverage for a new contract in his direction.

As much as I don’t see Doan being a flyer if weber becomes one. You have to think of a few things.
What if Doan is cup hungary? He sees how bad this franchise wants a cup, he sees there is a ton of talent here, he knows he would get a shot to play with one of the best players in the world.

It would be a smart move if you want to win.
Plus I am sure Philly would give a great signing bonus just in case of a lock out like they did to weber.

I don’t see it happening but I would not be shocked if it does.

Oh and if he does have a quarrel with Bryz I doubt he would have wasted a day stopping here anyway.

I’d rather have voracek over Doan…much younger with lots of potential..
Both are great 2-way guys but ace will be cheaper and its not a +35 so could be a smarter move.

If we try to Gratton with the preds ace alone is worth more than 2 of our picks back…. Maybe even it be 2 of their picks… : )
