Lucic’s scoring didn’t come until the season after he was drafted. Up until this point, Wilson has been pretty much a mirror image of Lucic.

Really sad the Bruins didn’t get a chance to take this kid. Sounds like he’ll be Lucic-physical without quite the same scoring touch. But who knows, the scoring could come. I think he would have fit right in with Boston’s style and personnel. Oh, well… My begrudging congrats to the Caps on what I’m thinking will turn out to look like a really good pick a few years from now.

The Caps have a bright future ahead of them, especially for 2 years from now (Forsberg, Wilson, and maybe Kuznetsov and Galiev). As Ovie, Backstrom and the gang get more experience, a flock of talented prospects come in to learn more under them. I like it.

kid scares me at 18yrs old weighing 203. like his game though, by the time he is nhl ready, i see him coming in over 220 lbs…should give the caps some offensive net presence and no one is gonna like playing against him. caps got tougher in a big way.

Tough to compare a kid to Milan Lucic, but I think any team would love to have a Lucic on their team. If he can pan out, great pick.
