Stevens was so afraid of #88 it wasn’t even funny, you could see the fear in his body and eyes when Lindros was bearing down on him ! I never seen another athlete show this amount of visual fear other than Spinks vs Tyson !

Yeah they won but that was some boring ass hockey. I’d like to have some cups but that sh!t was painful to watch at times.

Stevens would have 50 game suspensions every night if he played today.

Interesting, because I remember Scott Stevens being the Captain and an integral part of a team that went to four Stanley Cup Finals and won three of them. I guess the perception from Lindros (how many titles?) fans must be different.

You know what I remember about stevens ????? When Eric Lindros came into the league and stevens would go into the corner he would turtle up and low bridge #88 ! stevens punked out every time Lindros was about to make him look like a bug on a windshield ! Then after Lindro’s grape had been squashed numerous times,,, then and only then did stevens stand up to Lindros ! Most of the time the punk scott stevens would hit lindros with his forearm to the grape while lindros was being engaged by stevens defensive partner ! stevens was way overrated as a player and now one cared when he finally was concussed himself ! He will be a lousy coach ,he knows one thing and one thing only catching people with their heads down ! To go from Larry Robison to this bum ,,,,,,,,,,,,advantage rest of the league ! They really must be out of money and got him off the scrap heap real cheap !

Yep……my favorite top three players to watch were Scott Stevens, Rick Tocchet, and Mark Messier. And I’m a Flyers fan!!!

As far as playing defense goes, Scott Stevens is the greatest defenseman there ever was.
If you want a goal scoring defenseman… yeah, you could argue dozens.
But I say leave the scoring to the forwards – Scott Stevens is the best all time.
