Perhaps I didn't express my question clearly enough. Dwight King plays for the Kings, so his last name and his team's name, the Kings, match. Johnny McKenzie played for the Bruins, and McKenzie/Bruins is not quite as close a match as King/Kings, pies notwithstanding.

Dont get too ahead of yourself, im a kings fan but until you hit about december and see where the kings are positioned, they have a 1/30 chance of winning, just like everyone else. They may look great on paper, but everyone thought the same about buffalo last year. Still, heres hoping for back to backs and many more to come!!

Just another stone paved on the Road of Dynasty !

If anyone still doubts that the LA Kings have now embarked on a run of "multiple" Stanley Cup Championships, then it might be time for them to start watching another sport ! This signing is "brilliant" and it's another example of the "genius" which is Dean Lombardi. The NHL's "so-called" best teams weren't so much beaten this spring, as they were "butchered" by our glorious Kings ! Yes friends, we are here ! ... and we are here to stay ! :)

GO KINGS GO FOREVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

BINGO !

The answer is Johnny "Pie Face" McKenzie, who played with the Bruins from the late 60's to mid '70's ... and the reason for that ? ... because all Bruins' fans like making fruit pies ! :)

OK, a question for the floor: has any other NHL player ever had the same last name as his team's nickname? Anyone?
John Blue played for Boston, not St. Louis, and rocker Joan Jett may have played in Winnipeg, but not for the Jets.
