Signing any restricted player to an offer sheet is pretty much doing the players old team a favor especially Nashville in the case of Weber. Detroit would be doing all of the leg work and all Nashville would have to do is match to get the player they desperately want to be there long term.

That’s why I think offer sheets are so rare, teams don’t want to do the leg work for other teams and players who don’t want to be somewhere risk having to stay in that city long term.

Green will resign with the Caps, he just wants commitment and a long term contract to insure he won’t get dumped after next season.

Sure, he had an off year last year and naturally people are disappointed. It’s what serious injuries do to you. Some forget that what he does best is offense. His defense did improve under Hunter and I hope he bounces back next year under Oates’ offense.
