Oh definitely but they do have jack Johnson , James Wisniewski , and a potential star Ryan Murray on the back end so it’s not like Columbus is losing their ONLY star but I totally agree with you

I’ll say it again: I have no problem with Howson trying to drive a hard bargain using just about the only valuable asset he has…..some GM who has been screeching about how the price is too high might change his mind tomorrow, or his owner might change it for him…..

There seems to be an arrogance that some GMs have that bad teams like Columbus should be happy to yield their best players for a package of whatever odd and ends, bad contracts and/or failed prospects they offer up……the team being forced to give up the best player in this type of deal almost always loses, but it doesn’t mean they have to get completely shafted…..

Yeah that would seem as what would happen for Nash but I think Nash should suck it up and let howson do the trading

As a Kings fan, I’d say I don’t particularly like the trade a whole lot, but it doesn’t seem awful either. So it might be a fair deal.

But there are two problems: the Kings aren’t on Nash’s list of acceptable destinations, and it sure doesn’t seem like Howson would “settle” for that. My guess is that Nash doesn’t get moved until a new CBA is in place, so that all the teams know exactly what their boundaries are.

Knowing Howson, if Nash was involved, he’d want to Kings to throw in Quick as part of the deal.
