@Kitshky – now of course friend we have to enjoy a little bit of fun around here, otherwise what’s the point, eh ? … but in all seriousness, I predict that the “net” cost of removing Luongo is going to cost the Canucks dearly, regardless of whether that involves:

- assuming a sizable portion of the 54 million still left on his contract
- surrendering future draft picks and prospects as an added incentive
- adding “multiple” players along with Luongo as an added incentive
- being forced to offer up a “cash” payment (bribe) to any potential taker

we’ll see soon enough, but one thing is for sure … and that is that as the clock ticks downward, so do the Canucks” chances of avoiding these nightmare scenarios which I’ve illustrated …

They need to give up something but not a guy like kane whose potential is through the roof, and a first round pick. If were talking about ryan miller, or tim thomas from a couple years ago then youd be in the ballpark, but if you want a good goalie trade that first and maybe a guy like stalberg for bernier. Luongo is well known for his ups and downs in the playoffs. Dont tell me that as a pens fan youd trust lou to take you to the stanley cup instead of flower, and would have no problem being saddled with him for another ten years

Anyone with even the “slightest” grasp of hockey knowledge knows that Chicago would “never” take this over-rated, b-grade “gambling addicted” human sieve ! In fact “no one” wants him period. Even the Panthers who are “ordained” to receive the fool don’t want him ! So like someone said above, I’m therefore convinced that this “jpelle82″ not only sports “overly-sized” breasts, but as well is an avid viewer of The Bachelor ! Anyway, today’s “sad” announcement about comrade Bernier completely “kiboshes” any trade plans that the idiot Gillis may have had. I kid you not people. The removal of this clown and his “colossal” contract from the books, will come to cost the Canucks “big time” ! As I’ve said previously, I can easily see the Canucks being forced to “sex up” any potential deal to a prospective taker, by including the likes of either Kessler, Burrows or even a Sister ! … mark my words …

C’mon…it’s pretty clear he or she is a Canuck fan. Fans do this all the time. I’ve seen some pretty ridiculous suggestions on team boards at times, like suggesting a bottom-pairing defenceman and a low-draft pick should be enough to get Weber from Nashville. I saw another suggesting the Oilers should trade one of their four-young studs (Hall, Nuge, Eberle & Nail) to NJ for a defensive prospect no one had ever heard of. It’s actually pretty amusing at times to read these out-of-whack suggestions.

Because we all know NHL GM’s heed the call of anonymous commenters, I would like to beg Stan NOT TO DO THIS.

It’s bad enough you have us in a position to sometimes cheer for Dan Friggin’ Carcillo.

Beef up the D. Brookbank was a decent start. Get that second-line center. Please don’t give away resources for Bobby Friggin’ Lu.
