Yeah, I hope so but the Jets were 8 pts out of even contending for top 8. If Olli and Poni are the answer to getting that little extra offensive push, I say great but I’m kind of in “wait and see” mode. They still need to figure out how to keep pucks out of the own net.

I think the jets could make the playoffs next season. With Pony and Oli it seems like the jets are ready to play hard.

I really hope they break up the Toby-Buff pairing. I don’t understand why they’d have 2 offensive-minded d men as the top pairing, particularly when Buff is always caught too far forward and can’t race his bulk back to help Toby out. Toby ain’t that great as a shut-down d man, no matter how long his stick is (seriously, check it out, it’s Chara-size). I would have thought Huddy would have figured this out, considering he was in charge of saving Coffey’s keester back in the 80s.
