I read the same thing the only team Doan’s agent called was Detroit. Every other team had to call his agent.

On paper, sure, but keep in mind they have been as vague as can be about the status of Hossa’s recovery and Toews isn’t exactly out of the woods yet, either.

Would love every second of this. Ditch Brunette, bring him aboard. Less having to shuffle around a 3rd line winger into the top 6. Only thing that concerns me is the fact that Leddy is a RFA next season. Hawks need to maintain cap space to keep him.

and all this is because a few tea bag-gers are whining and complaining about the lease….way to go, lets just ship the whole team out of the state and then watch and laugh when they complain about an arena that they have to pay for but has no further use (save for a few concerts here and there).

Right now I dont see the hawks as one of the best contenders for the cup, but anything can happen…
then again, if they sign Doan, trade Kane for Nash (doubt that will happen), all they would really need is for CC to play as good as his first year and the hawks could be deadly…

It would be a good fit a gritty top 6 forward would compliment the hawks wingers and he’s a very good leader and mentor.

I say if you’re a team thats close to contending and you get a chance at a player like Doan you go for it .. .but having said that, you gotta agree that another Fwd has to be pretty far down their priority list.
