PHT’s Morning Skate takes a look around the world of hockey to see what’s happening and what we’ll be talking about around the NHL world and beyond.

Did you hear a rumor about Alexander Semin going to Pittsburgh? You might not want to pay attention to that one. (PensBlog)

Check out Erik Karlsson getting married this weekend. Not a bad couple weeks. Signs a monster contract, wins the Norris Trophy, and gets hitched. It’s good to be the… Senator. (Senators Extra)

Did Hurricane Debby prevent Larry Robinson from joining the Montreal Canadiens? (Montreal Gazette)

Looks like Roberto Luongo, I mean @strombone1, decided to see Celine Dion in Las Vegas last night. But hey, Joey Fatone from *NSync was there too! (@strombone1)

Some Ducks fans are unhappy with GM Bob Murray. You know what that means: Petition time! Looks like they’re taking the Kings Cup win a bit hard. (Anaheim Calling)

of course semin wants to play on the franchise. everyone who wants to win multiple cups does. its not brain surgery geez. STAY THICK

Think Ducks fans are mad at Murray now, they’ll tar and feather him if he doesn’t get Getzlaf and Perry extended before next year.

Might want to read a bit more critically there, Joe. The Pensblog entry reads “So far” it is not true…..as in the signing of Semin is not out of the question. It simply hasn’t happened yet as reported.

Only sluts like Semin. If he steps foot in the City of Champions he will be sanduskyed by numerous aids infected trannys.

    • mattj2524 - Jul 9, 2012 at 9:30 AM

Good to know the city to avoid if you’re not a fan of AIDS infested trannys and child raping pedophiles. Thanks for the tip. Good luck to all the contributing social members of Pitt out there.

mattj watch your mouth do NOT talk back to a member of soup can army. show ur superior some respect

    • mattj2524 - Jul 9, 2012 at 9:45 AM

Hahaha! I’m sorry, how could I have been so insolent? I will wait until spoken to before speaking again oh mighty Soup Can Army.

Any reason you guys all seem to have chosen to back Sid as the pride of the city as opposed to the best player on that team, in Malkin?

      • napoleonblownapart6887 - Jul 9, 2012 at 9:51 AM

Here’s your mistake – the plural in “you guys”. It’s one guy with multiple names and a TON of free time.

With that said I don’t quibble with them backing Sid, kid is an unbelievable talent who gets most of the criticism from other fans. No one really argues that Geno is one of the best in the league.

Also as a contributing member of society from Pittsburgh, thanks for the good luck, we’re doing just fine.

Malkin has the girth but not the complete measurements of soupcan.

  7. respectsoupcansthickstick - Jul 9, 2012 at 10:11 AM

    ITS A SOUP CAN TAKE-OVER!!!

  8. respectsoupcansthickstick - Jul 9, 2012 at 10:22 AM

napoleonblowmeoff, yea your really contributing to society sitting there in your cubicle with a kazoo in your urethra chatting on sports posts all day. move to philthadelphia you dont belong anywhere near soup can nation. STAY GURTHY

  9. theenutty - Jul 9, 2012 at 11:14 AM

I hope you all realize that there are some intelligent Pens fans out there who like to talk hockey. Its guys like the bozo with ten million names and has an infatuation with male anatomy that gives the rest of us in the fan base a really bad name. Its unfortunate.

That being said, there has been quite alot of talk in PIT about the Pens being interested in Semin. I personnally wouldnt mind that move if the terms were like 4yrs/18m. I cant help but think that a change in scenery would do Semin alot of good.

nutty, you are irrelevant to this conversation. go back to philthadelphia where you belong you commie
