Really? Talk about blinded by your own homerism. Every hockey player does things OFF the ice that are respectable. We are talking about hockey here...as in what happens on the ice. The Sedins are some of the biggest actors out there, constantly diving and embellishing. That is undeniable and as a result they are not honest hockey players. Throw Burrows, Lappierre, and Kesler into that mix. Come on...use your head. To you, somehow because they donate $ (an incredible amount of it I will admit) they are great players??...community involvement has nothing to do with hockey and the way it's played. The Canucks organization promotes that crap type of play for some reason and the result is they have more players than any other team that embellish and try to trick the refs into penalty calls. They look foolish..Try again..

No kidding. Kesler's selfishness dictates how effective, or distinctly ineffective, his linemates can be. Unfortunately, he's a me-first guy a lot more than not. I'd look into dealing him to a team with a good dedicated pass-first winger to make use of him as a more purely shot-first guy, like Richards and Carter. He's only a year removed from the Selke. They'd find a willing dance partner pretty fast. Mind you, the deal would need to include a replacement going the other way. The Canucks have nobody who can step into a top-two centre role right now.

This would require Kesler to remember how to pass the puck a little. Like how he had that 50 assist season because he was passing. And his linemates happened to have great years (Raymond and Samuelsson), when he was passing.

Uffda, that would bring the toughness level up a bit in Vancouver. I don't want to have to hate Doan though, but I will if he goes there (out of principle obviously, not him specifically).
