on the Nash trade, the days of a team gutting it self to get one high end player are over, todays GMs know that depth wins cups and giving your young talent away is a fast way to get fired (ie the leafs for the last 20 years) and miss the playoffs. Columbus should take the draft picks and move on.

I really hope Nash get traded before the season starts. If not, it’s all we will hear about in February.

If the free agent market was not so shallow teams could replace the players they trade off with depth guys but there is almost no talent left on the market.

If any of the teams he has said yes to had enough NHL ready prospects and could fit this into their cap this would be done by now, but no team is that deep. Anyone who Nash goes to will ruin their teams 3rd and 4th lines which is a huge deal.

why is it the Rangers fans and media feel they can get any free agent they want? I understand large market they always have money but who have they signed recently that makes them think that…Richards is about it. how did Drury and Gomez and Redden work out?? I also don’t feel they are a destination in the hockey world anymore. NYC needs to take a step back and realize this.
