“and why is it that they speak no more ?” ….

I remember only a few months ago, all the “hateful and venomous” posts here at PHT about how “few” fans the LA Kings have ? … and how we “few” fans should just shut up and go back to the beach, etc ? Well here we are today, the Stanley Cup Champions and the very “best” ice hockey team in the world, bar none ! … and apparently we have fans the world over too ! :) You gotta love this stuff, eh ? Not only did our Kings do a number on the entire league this year, but as well their “stellar” play has completely silenced the “forces of hate and jealousy” for good ! I’m so proud to be an LA Kings fan and I will forever cherish the glory of what we accomplished in 2012 !

GO KINGS GO !!! … TODAY, TOMORROW AND FOREVER !!!!!! :)

The cup was loaned to you for a year…relax Elvis.

      • manchestermiracle - Jul 7, 2012 at 3:37 PM

The entire team is back, now seasoned and defending said Cup. And the names engraved on it are forever….

      • ron05342 - Jul 7, 2012 at 4:04 PM

Running the table at 16-4 in the playoffs hardly constitutes a “loan.” The Los Angeles Kings are a force that are here to stay, whether you like it or not, and are very legitimate contenders to repeat.

Looks like that Cup might wish to visit Slovenia again in 12 very short months.

      • capesouth - Jul 7, 2012 at 4:26 PM

Every year, fans of whatever team won the cup get all cocky and pronounce “they are here to stay” and then, one year later, their team is gone, nowhere to be seen. The Kings won..good for them. Last year, the Bruins won. Then they put the same team back on the ice this year and didn’t make it out of the first round. Exactly the same situation. Undoubtedly, you’ll give me reasons why it is different with the Kings but we all know it’s not. Kings are contenders..ya? Most teams who win the cup are contenders the following year. Then we got elvis over here acting like he made it through hell and back and there was some great disservice that he went through as a king’s fan, talking about “the forces of hate and jealousy”. Come on..I have to act out against a ‘whoa is me’ king’s fan.

This team was 8th in the west and didn’t get into the playoffs until the very end of the season, yes 16-4 is impressive, the peaked at the right time and deserved to win the cup, but let’s pump the brakes before we declare the Kings the next great dynasty of the NHL. Are they a contender next year? Absolutely, but there are about 12 teams in the NHL that are legitimate contenders to win the cup and several more who could be if players develop and they get some breaks along the way.

As of right now the Kings are no different than the Canes were going into the 06-07 season or the Ducks going into 07-08.

After reading your post am I the only one who thinks you’re the guy using air quotes constantly when you’re talking to someone? And what’s with the constant posting of the Elvis videos?

Enjoy the Kings cup win, you’re now tied with your lesser cousin in both appearances and wins.

Well considering the Kings were a favorite pre season to make a run at the cup, whos to say they wont make another such run next year?

    the nerve of them.

LET US IGNORE THESE AGENTS OF HATRED …

It’s a shame that people like this Capesouth and Atwatercrushesokoye have to speak the way they do … but I suppose that’s the price for being a devoted “life-long” fan of the best hockey team in the world today, our Stanley Cup Champion Los Angeles Kings ! :) Perhaps what really irks these people is the “way” we won the Cup ? After all, we didn’t just beat teams like Vancouver, St Louis, Phoenix and New Jersey … we “butchered” them and we did that with ruthless aplomb ! The kicker is that we’re now even “better” prepared to do it all again next year ! … only this time, it’s going to be even more satisfying, as “Agents of Hatred” like this Capesouth creature, will be only too aware of what is undoubtedly going to come down on their heads again !

GO KINGS GO !!!!!!!! … THE BEST HOCKEY TEAM IN THE WORLD TODAY !!!!!!! :)

      Whatever

    • atwatercrushesokoye - Jul 8, 2012 at 1:24 AM

I picked the Kings to win the cup the first day of the season so I was glad they won, I’m just tired of your ridiculous Elvis posts, I’m pretty sure the next person to click on one of those videos will be the first, as well as your “no one ever said this could be done bs” congrats your team was the 5th Sunbelt market to win a cup, we won’t mention that you’ve been around for about 25 years longer than all of the others, maybe your team will have more follow up success than the rest? A full season of Richards, Carter and Sutter tearing that locker room apart probably means not so much though.

    Listen Watergate …

When I first came hear to PHT in January and spoke of my vision, it was a very “barren and hostile” landscape to say the least. Not only was I completely alone in calling for the Kings to triumph this year, but as well I was repeatedly attacked by venomous naysayers like you. There wasn’t a drop of “consideration or possibility” to be had from you people. Even in the first round after going up two against the Canucks, the local “house radio” here in Vancouver was going on and on about who they’d prefer to meet in the next round … as though the Kings were some kind of a joke ? Well it turns out that the joke is on “you” people ! We Kings didn’t just beat every team we faced … we “smashed” them ! And the kicker is that as champions, we’re now even better primed to do it all again next year … and the next year … and the next year …and the next year ! So save all the talk about it being “no big deal” and that you people had foreseen this happening, etc. The fact is that this is a “huge” deal and you people still can’t figure out what exactly transpired !

ps: as for not liking Elvis ? … well speak for your self pal !
