He played for the Flames minor league team for part of last year and when the Flames had so many forwards injured that they signed Krys Kolanos and brought him up and then called up a junior player on emergency call up by the had zero interest in calling up Jessiman…that should tell you his chances of ever making it back to the NHL at this point.

Well, his points last year in the AHL weren’t too bad (not great but not bad) and coupled with his size, well, that ought to peak the interest of wishful/hopeful-thinking GMs looking for a reclamation project.

Just imagine if your team is just the sort of change of scenery he needs to reach his one-time imagined potential. Maybe it’s worth a shot?

I have no idea how Eric Fehr is on the “good to solid” list and not the “bust” list. Last I checked, he’s UFA and the buzz about signing him is, well… not very buzzy. He’s teetering on the razor’s edge of perhaps already having seen his last NHL action. The Jets “might” resign him at a drastic paycut, and if any other team signs him, it’ll also be as a shot-in-the-dark pickup at a drastic paycut.
