Why on earth would Burke even make a move for Brodeur? It’s not like Toronto is slated to become any sort of contender within the next 2 years. MB will be retired loooooong before T.O. is of any sort of relevance in the NHL.

Yea bro but getting 5 win’s on the wings when they were rolling in the middle of the year dosent prove nothin. He finished 5-4 with a hurt back mind you.

If BB can convince Luongo to play in TO it will save his job. By now I am sure he is frustrated and would be willing to give Gillis what he wants to get Luongo. Say what you will about Luongos contract but his stats are awsome and whatever team he goes to he will be there NO. 1 goalie for the next 5 – 6 years and than he can retire.

Luongo ranks second among active NHL goalies in career regular-season victories (339). He’s No. 4 in active save percentage and third in appearances.

And despite his woes in the playoffs, where he’s 32-29, Luongo did produce enough nightly magic to help the Canucks earn the top seed in the West twice. Last year the two games that he played in the playoffs he played awsome, coach put Schneider in for a change Thats the only reason.
