They were going no-where, they didn’t make the playoffs, they had a chance to move him and build towards to future, and got nothing for him.
Roy sucks, he’s a defensive nightmare, uncoachable and has no heart.

Ya I’m sure you know how that’ll pan out. We had Cody Eakin slotting in as our 2nd line C next year. Joe got rid of a part of the leadership core that had failed 4 years in a row and brought in a buy low potential 60 point Center for our 2nd line.

You have no idea what you’re talking about. Glennie was a bad pick but Oleksiak, Faska are great 1st rounders. We also have been getting gems in the late rounds like R. Smith (3rd), P. Larsen (5th round), Thomas Vincour (5th rounder), Matt Stratsky (6th rounder, PPG in WHL this year). Not to mention key undrafted signings like Matt Fraser (30 goals in AHL last year, will push for a spot in Dallas this year) and Brandon Dillon (potential top 4 D-man pushing for a spot this year too).

Get a clue.

Jagr seems like he’s an ok player once you can get him on the ice, but there’s so much crap you have to go through to get there. I respect Detroit and Pittsburgh for simply walking away once their deadline was up and not playing Jagr’s game. I’d like him on my team, but I’m sick of hearing all the nonsense before he’s signed.

Like I always said, he could not care less about location, direction of the team, only the cheddar. Only teams desperate for exposure should be interested.
SO I have no doubt that the pathetic and floundering Stars who should be recognized as one of the most lost and stupid franchises in the NHL today.
Joe Nieuwendyk has been a complete failure that is nearing Matt Millen proportions, and I LOVED Joe back in the day. But not trading Richards when he had a chance, actually trading anything for Roy with his knee injury that he wouldn’t be the same from and hasn’t…who has 1 year left on his deal. They have not drafted well at all under him, the Stars are a mess, and if they actually add Jagr….they are officially the joke of the NHL, and I’d suggest the BlueJackets will reach the playoffs before the Stars ever do again.

Yesterday Jagr wanted Montreal but Montreal didn’t want Jagr so now, “Haggerty says the Habs and Bruins aren’t of interest to the 40 year-old Jagr…”. Right, after that hot girl I wanted to get with told me to pound sand, I was no longer interested in her. OK!!! I’d like to have Jagr back with the Flyers but only at about half of what he wants. He was worthless in the playoffs last year and that is where players are supposed to earn their money, not during the regular season!
