Have you ever watched a game from Philly? Those fans are crazy to the point of being scary!! and not just about the Flyers- check out the Phillies and the Eagles. Philly is probably the only city that I would Worry about wearing a Caps shirt to a game.

I love the “Detroit is an old team” shtick….

Well, you guys can stop with that talk now… Lidstrom retired, Holmstrom won’t be signed… so who are the old guys?

Bertuzzi is 37, Sammy is 35, and everyone else on the team is 33 and under. Average age of their current roster is 26.9 years.

With Brendan Smith, Tatar, Nyquist, Emmerton, Mursak, Kindl, Helm, and Abdelkader all 25 and under… this is a team building a young core while still winning.

I think they will be more involved in a trade, IMO. I can see them trading Filppula after a career year in a package with young talent for Bobby Ryan. I know Nash isn’t going to go inter-division, or I would think they would chase him. I see Detroit getting Suter and trading for a forward, instead of getting in the Parise bid war. Hopefully for them, that happens… otherwise, Detroit will be lucky to keep their playoff streak alive… but on the other hand, we will get a look at all their young talent…

I dont care where Parise and Suter land just as long as its not in Sucksburgh…. He has to much class to go play in a town with so little. They are the joke of the league when it comes to crying and expecting the refs to just blow the whistle everytime they get touched. This is the NHL not the NBA if you want to get a hand foul go play with the roundball or man up and play some puck. Parise if you want to get paid come to philly if you want to do the classy thing go to Minnesota.

Pittsburgh does not have Giroux (In my opinion, the best player in the world), and coots (? lost me here) made Malkin look like AN AHL player. To top that all off, Giroux violently hit Crosby in game six, and then went on to score on the same shift.

They may be able to give Parise $12 mil this year but Elias, Zajac, Zubrus, Clarkson, Janssen and Zidlicky will all be UFA’s next year. And Henrique and Josefson will be RFA’s.

While NJ and Detroit being model franchises over the last 20 years Detroit offers ownership stability that NJ cannot. I think that is the only reason ZP started looking in the first place. He seems like a stand-up loyal kid but has reservations about the future of his current club.

I love the idea of Suter and Parise ending up with the Wild- mostly because it would be a huge coup. I also think it would provide a major boost of confidence to that team and it would show the Wild fans that the ownership is willing to lay down serious cash to improve the team that they love so much. Despite the Wild being consistently in the bottom half of the league it continues to have one of the highest attendance rates in the NHL.
