Good moves by Habs adding grit and body to their team, and not opening the bank to do it. Armstrong, Prust, and Frankie total 4.5 million for this coming season. Not bad at all. Now go trade for Marleau and we are set.

yup, and I have to give Montreal credit for trying to add some grit to their team. But they completely overpaid, and for a “fighter” that hasnt had much luch fighting against the Bruins.

Both these guys play on the edge and are agitators. It will be almost comical to listen to HAB fans defend their antics this year. It just seems to me that all I heard for the last 2 years from HAB fans was how the NHL should suspend all the “Boston Goons”. I guarantee it will be all good now that they have sandpaper on their team. I know this because they already defend Punk Kid Subban and he is dirty as it gets. I guess they had to bring someone into save his bacon since Gill isn’t there anymore.

After Konopka, Prust was the #1 free agent at doing what he does. Habs overpaid a bit but if you need that type of player, you go out and get him.

As a Bruins fan, I find both Prust and Armstrong incredibly annoying. So…mission accomplished?

Honestly though, Prust has some serious cojones. You may hate playing against him, but you have to give him credit for that.

I loved having Prust in NY, but $2.5 mil/yr seems a little steep. $2 mil/yr would’ve worked. Don’t know what Sather was willing to spend. And by picking up Asham for only $1 mil/yr he figures that he saved money.
