Come to Pittsburgh, Crosby tells Parise

Sidney Crosby has “reached out” to Zach Parise in an attempt to get the prized unrestricted free agent to join the Penguins, reports ESPN’s Pierre LeBrun.

It’s believed Pittsburgh will make Parise an offer with an annual cap hit of $7-8 million. The deal will likely be front-loaded with significant term.

For Parise, the opportunity to skate on the wing with centers like Crosby and Evgeni Malkin could be too good to pass up. Whether he’s willing to take a backseat to those two is another question, having been the captain in New Jersey.
