Any ideas why they let him go? As a Ranger fan, my opinion of him is colored by him being an opponent who never struck me as anything more than a goon. I’d appreciate knowing what else he brings to the rink.

Aaron Asham is by far my favorite fighter in the NHL. anyone see him pound McQuaid? a thing of beauty. unfortunately the pens are my favorite team:/

If it’s the end of Prust’s time with the Rangers, then it’s a dumb move them. Prust knows Tortz system. He’s a solid checker, great on the PK, and occasionally sparks things up with a short handed goal and provides some offense. Yeah, his points were down this year but his defensive contributions made up for it. And the fans love him. Then again, that doesn’t really matter to NY management. As much as I didn’t like Avery, he was still very popular with many other Ranger fans.
