Not because he went to Princeton. There was just no room in the line up after the Kings called up King and Nolan. He’ got 2 more years on his contract but I doubt he’s going to play another game in the NHL. He doesn’t have the necessary skill level. And he’s been reluctant to fight after he got beat up by John Scott.

Westgarth attended Princeton and hardly played under Sutter, and didn’t play at all in the entire SC Playoffs for the Kings.

Ovechkin was at the NHLPA Player’s meeting in Chicago (along with about 54 other players). Those meetings were essentially to fill in the players on the issues the NHLPA wants to address and to allow the players to voice their thoughts and concerns leading up to negotiations.

This list is of the 31 players who will be directly involved in the negotiations with the NHL/owners.
