Jackets will never win a cup without getting rid of Howson first. Yes Carter’s actions were disgusting and unprofessional agreed.

Well, we agree about the Jackets, but we could not disagree more about Carter. Carter is a piece of garbage. I have absolutely no respect for him at all. From the moment the trade was announced, he behaved worse than my five year old daughter does when she’s exhausted. If going to Columbus was that traumatic for him, he should have been a man and stated up front that he would never take the ice for Jackets. At least, that would shown guts and character. Instead, he literally hid in his house, made members of the team beg him to talk to them, came to Columbus and collected a large paycheck while dogging it every step of the way and being a locker room cancer. At this point, the only way I could ever have a hint of respect for that assclown is if took all the money he earned in Columbus and donated it to charity. He didn’t earn a penny of it, so be man enough to allow it to do some good for people in need. Mid-Ohio Foodbank could sure use the money and he could turn around and write it off on his taxes. But, I think we both know there’s a better chance of the Jackets winning the next four Cups and Steve Mason being the League MVP than Carter stepping up and admitting he acted like a douche. Nothing against LA, but it disgusts me that the guy held the Cup.

@east96st couldn’t agree with you more. Jackets are the worst run team in the NHL why would any player want to go there? I don’t blame Carter for wanting to leave when he did

Logan Couture et al for Rick Nash. They asked for it not once but twice. Logan Couture = more points and a $5m lower cap hit. Why won’t San Jose go for that deal? Blue Jackets have got to be the worst run franchise in sports.

Nail doesn’t know it, but being the number one pick was the second best thing that happened to him. Not going to Columbus was first. CBJ is where you go to watch your career slowly die, unless you’re Russian. Then the death is almost immediate. No matter what happens to the kid’s career, all Jacket fans know that had he come to Columbus, he would have been in the KHL within two years. Probably would have put out feelers after year one. At least with Murray, we’ll probably get four to five good years out of him until he demands to be traded. Or his knee will get blown up and he’ll never amount to anything. It’s Columbus, so those are pretty much the only two likely scenarios.

This is why it should come as no shock that four scouts were fired. What a bunch of idiots.
Howson is stupid too, but scouts obviously didnt like him enough or they wouldnt have traded out.
