It's funny to me how everyone was saying what a great team GMGM put together this past season, if you all remember they were picked to go to the finals at the start of the season, now you want to dump on this guy because the players didn't show up for most of the year. With that said, they did make a damn good run at the end. McPhee is a really good GM, and if you would all step back and look at the big picture, he's done an excellent job.

we had an awesome 3rd line center in Belanger, GMGM let him walk. Then we had an awesome 2nd line center in Arnott, GMGM let him walk.

Good think Hamrlik answered the call for a veteran stay-at-home defender this past season, hahahaha.

We're totally f@&$#ed

I agree on our pursuing of 2nd line center, but i applaud gm squared. The guy is very professional in how he approaches his objectives. He's not a loud mouth, etc.

I mean i'm antsy as hell without a head coach, however, i think it's more important we search for the most appropriate candidate rather than rushing to a conclusion.

But yea it will be inteteresting to see how much longer gm square's dynasty will reign.

gmgm is quickly wearing out his welcome with me. i know not enough about the hockey coaching ladder to speculate on who would be a good hire, but this whole situation stinks to me.

gmgm would be on the street had dale hunter, and more specifically, joel ward, not saved his job.

he has expressed no urgency in hiring a coach, stating multiple times he was OK with going into the draft without a coach. (last time i checked, the coach and his system should play a pretty big factor in the type of talent you are going to acquire).

by the way caps fans, we still do not have a second line center, and it has been the top priority heading into the offseason for at least 4 years.
