did not realize 28 was an older veteran? I’m just standing by waiting to hit submit order button on my Rangers “61″ Jersey. Nash being totally underrated here. I will jump for joy when the Rangers announce trade.

I would agree, only because the Rangers have a history of giving up good prospects for older veterans with very few good years left (gee, just like the Knicks…imagine that).

If CBJ wants to rape anyone in a trade, the Rangers are a good prospect.

They’re getting payed by the club and only report what the management tells them to report. Not a good source for info.

Dubi, Anisimov, Stepan and Del Zotto plus JT Miller and possibly one other prospect not named Kreider for Nash.
If Nash ends up in NY, the deal will be pretty close to this prediction.

pantherpro – if you ever have a child born with a “pre-existing” condition, you find out that a “good health care plan” is actually something pretty damn important. Plus, let’s give our neighbors more credit – 1) China doesn’t own their ass 2) their government is semi-functional 3) they don’t spend 5 times more than any other country in the world on their military, while their roads are falling apart, train service is all but non-existent and air travel sucks 4) they still educate their kids 5) their politicians are only a little bought and sold, where ours never even go to the bathroom without consulting their “donors”. Hell, if it wasn’t for the crappy winters and the fact that their football sucks, I would have moved a decade ago. Remember, Rome never “fell’. It rotted away from the inside. Lots of lessons in those history books for those who still read.

Just out of curiosity, how in touch are these beat writer with the goings on within the respective organizations that they cover? How can a beat writer say with such certainty that “yes, this is happening” or “no, that’s a line of bs?” I realize they have connections or whatever, but how deep do these connections go?

I think Howson thinks hes on a higher perch than he actually is…..its like a 7.5 that acts shes a 10.

With the packages hes requesting, the trend of teams passing nash up is growing and CBJs are probably going to have to settle for less in return or not move him at all unless they get realistic, real quick
