Can we PLEASE stop talking about the Rangers as a serious candidate for Rick Nash? They have NO front line prospects in their system and most of all no goalie prospects who have even a remote chance of being a #1 goalie--something CBJ MUST get out of the Nash deal.

Since the NYR have no frontline prospects, no viable goalie prospect and are unwilling to part with any of their better young roster players, Howson would be nuts to deal Nash to them.

Philly would have to be a lead contender for Nash. Package JVR and Bob as well as some picks and prospects and they have a very viable bid. If VAN were willing to move Schneider, they would have an even more competitive package perhaps with Kassian or Booth thrown in along with picks and prospects.

VAN would be far better off moving Schneider instead of Luongo. I agree that TOR is the only viable trading partner for Lu, never a good situation for a seller. Schneider, on the other hand, would command a major return. With Schneider, VAN jumps to the head of the class in any discussion of obtaining Nash and VAN would probably have to include far less in assets in a Schneider package than PHI in a Bob package or SJS in a Niemi package.
