Correction:

Chara hit the net 12 times last season, at a rate of 5.4% (4.8% was his playoff percentage).

5.4% was good enough for 499th place on the list of most accurate shooters.

That’s a sound logical argument that you’ve presented there. Pretty sure Bobby Orr didn’t hit the 224 times last season and never participated in a skills competition.

But if you were actually referring to Chara, he shot 4.8% last season, which was 168th best in the league.

It’s unfortunate that you’re still bitter about a play that happened two years ago. That has to be one of the most hysterically biased and nonsensical fanboy comments I’ve seen here.

Not many people get compared to Bobby Orr, and with good reason. He hit the net 224 times last year and hit it pretty damn hard at the skills competition. I don’t think your other points need acknowledging.

As much as I hate conspiracies, the bruins got away with everything possible that year. There were so many times I was just watching saying wow, we won’t see him back on the ice for a few games…. Then he came back the very next game.

Like andrew Fereence and his finger which is an automatic match penalty.
Wisnewski got suspended for a similar thing that was directed at a player. Ferrence directs it to the fans which is twice as worse and gets a fine.

Then it was the intent to injure on boychuck. The awkward tie up with Raymond that boychuck decided to give a huge push at the end right before the boards and results in the 2nd broken back intentionally caused by the bruins that year.

Not saying there was a conspiracy, just saying kinda odd how much Boston has gotten away with the past two years….

Let’s not forget about all the crap lucic has done and all the ducks by Marchand… I think he got suspended for 1 of his 3 ducks this season.

Shouldn’t you be “working” for your guaranteed BIG GOVERNMENT pay check?

It must be very rewarding pushing pencils and rubber stamping things all day long (and by that I mean surfing the internet).

Don’t feel sad that you can’t grasp these complex concepts… I wouldn’t expect a naive unionized government tool to recognize corruption for what it is.

What a terrible puff piece about a terrible person. Obviously Chara is still tormented by guilt otherwise he wouldn’t have straight-up admitted that “he made a mistake.”

It sure was a lucky break that Jeremy Jacobs as Chairman was able to shield him from suspension to ensure that they stole the Stanley Cup from 15 more deserving teams… lolz.

In fact his whole life has been a series of lucky breaks, as in he never would have played professional hockey if he wasn’t so freakishly tall.

I’ve never heard anyone, including Bruins fans, compare him to the benchmark defeseman Bobby Orr… and for good reason:

Chara can’t skate, is slow-witted to the point where he has zero defensive awareness, has a shot that can’t hit the net and a face that could never sell Chevys on TV.

Chara’s steady diet of cigarettes and Coke pretty much sums up everything you need to know about this overrated pylon.
