Man, it’s a shame Eric Staal doesn’t want out of Carolina. I’d much sooner swing a prospect package for him than for Nash. As long as we’re talking behemoth contracts, I’d rather take a guy who’s never notched less than seventy points over a guy who’s only crossed that mark once in his career.

He just turned 28, pretty big difference if you ask me.

Nick Lidstrom played until he was 42, no player can be considered “Too old” until we start seeing it on the ice.

The trade may happen if a team decides he is worth it, but knowing that there aren’t many interested suitors, the teams involved can take their time and see if this guy is really what they want, which is why this is taking so long. I really think a trade will happen, as Columbus is basically in a rebuilding mode (Aren’t they every year) and Nash is no longer interested in staying there.

I doubt he even gets traded at this point, howson is asking way to much for a 30 year old player who in 5 years will become irrelevant, similar to joe thorton. No team is gonna trade away that much of their future for him. right now it seems hes asking for 2 prospects, a 1st round pick, and a roster player, which is why no deal has been done because it would be similar to the kessel trade, and we all know how well that turned out for the leafs

Its unlikely Nash would agree to go to Ottawa. Don’t forget since he has a no trade clause he gets to say where he goes…
