That would be stupid. PK is brilliant. Habs don’t need Snow and the draft pick is uncertain and 3 years removed.

I think we’re confusing best young defenseman with most talented young defenseman. Subban wows you with his skating ability and his offensive skills, but he makes too many mistakes, and his mouth and attitude promote bad chemistry. The latter is often under-valued.

A couple of year’s ago when he was brought up from the AHL during the playoffs, I thought Subban was going to be the guy the rest of the defensemen in the league would be measured against for the next decade.

After a larger sample, I think the league will continue to be enamoured by his skillset but we’ll never see it come to fruition. It will surprise me if the name P.K. Subban ever appears on the Stanley Cup. When its all said and done, I think he’ll be remembered as being very good but never great.
