Preds fan, I liked Lindback the times he played for Rinne last year. Hopefully he gets Tampa stability in net long term.

Well he sure didn’t do much when he was injured repeatedly in the past. This last year with Phoenix was his first and only real breakout. Don’t act like he’s an amazing goaltender for one good season.

As a Tampa fan, it’s been a challenge to watch the team continue to struggle with their goaltending. But, as many fans of the league already know, Tampa was left for dead after the Cup. Vinik has been nothing short of the heartbeat of the organization by bringing back hope to Tampa. The acquisition of Lindback is indeed a gamble, but unlike Cory Schneider, his services weren’t as prominently displayed. Everything that make up an elite netminder in the NHL today is there. He has the size and athleticism similar to that of his former teammate, Pekke. I’m happy to see the move, and I look forward to seeing what he can offer the club.

I still think this is part 1 of te goalie makeover in Tampa. They still need a veteran backup who could be a mentor to Anders.

Lindback can do it if he’s given time in the net. He’s got all the makings of a good goalie, just needs time actually -playing- in the NHL to get settled.
