@aosplayo ….. sure talks are going well, and sure their not… if they were going great he would have signed already, and or during the season, who knows. You are not the player or GM, and it’s hard to trust every beat reporter in the business.

Carle would but stupid to not test the waters on frenzy day, unless he is 100% wanting to stay in Flyer land. He would be taking a discount to stay because someone else would offer more money.

You can announce resigning of your own players at any time as long as they’re going to be free agents that year, contract extensions for players who have a contract expiring after next season can’t be announced until after July 1st. Both Jagr and Carle are UFA, the Flyers can sign them and announce whenever they want…the question would be whether that’s smart to do before the cap has been officially set?

If all his choices are Western Conference teams, he apparently is saying the he is not interested in ANY teams in the East. So, take ” Flyers” out and plug in “Pens”, “Caps”, “Habs”,…… Less of an “ouch” for the Flyers.

Thank god… I don’t want him in Philly cause we would overpay him to death. He is going to get about 7 mill at least and WITHOUT WEBER helping him, his number are WORSE than Carle. So Carle for about 4 mill vs Suter for 7… I’ll take Carle any day.

I wouldn’t blame a defenseman for not wanting to play in Philly. The Flyers hang their defenseman out to dry with their system. The Flyers need to get better at team defense, not just add a defenseman. (I am a Flyers fan). Flyers should look at the Kings system and mimic that since it is similar but the forwards have defensive responsibility ( Carter was great) and win more face offs. Would love to get Weber.

Suter is going to one of 4 teams. Detroit / Wild / Blues / Preds

He wants to stay return home close to WI and be in the MidWest. I would say Detroit or Wild, possible Blues and I think we all agree Nashville blew their chance last season

He is from WI, wife MN, has a farm in WI, loves the midwest life style. No chance he goes out East, that is the cold hard facts folks.
