I can see a one-year deal, but Quick’s new deal would kick in year after next and Voynov and a couple of other important names are up for RFA status in that timeframe as well. LA will need to reserve a decent chunk of cap space to keep the team mostly intact going forward, and Penner’s the easiest man to cut.
