I don't see how this post really follows from Chia's interview on 98.5, but I agree with matthew4s - at least as far as developing the young talent goes. I want to see Knight and Spooner next year. Obviously Hamilton on the back end but also Krug. Of course Shane Doan would be cool too.

Chiarelli needs to worry about re-signing Rask. I really am starting to lose faith in the B's management, to cultivate their own talent. Caron looked right at home on the first line last year , and every time I turn around Chiarelli wants a top 9 forward. Even if Horton does not come back, with everyone else signed that leaves one spot. I think at some point these kids need to be given a shot. MacDermid,Knight,Spooner, and Camper all could be a number 9 forward right now. It just seems to me that the B's remember history the way they want. They think playing veterans leads to Championships. In all reality it was the under 26 crowd that came up big throughout their Stanley Cup run. Offensively speaking of course.

Look for the B's to make a deep run again next year. Plenty of rest this summer and plenty deep enough up and down the roster to do it again.
