Please with the Jeff Carter crap we seen the real Jeff Carter in Columbus ! As far as Mike Richards goes the FLYERS did not get rid of him he got rid of himself ! In Philly he was a major league JO so much has been left unreported ! The Flyers are a much better team with the subtraction of these two and certain players are much better for it ! Lets get this straight right out the gate no one here in Philly cares they won a cup, in the end they were never true Flyers ! A cup with the KinGS can’t even begin to be compared to a cup with the Flyers ! Congratulation to Cartsy and Richy KINGS for EVER !

    • rtrmusic - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:30 AM

Heard Carter and Richards will take the cup on a tour of Philly and invite Hartnell’s wife with them. Maybe a film a video with her afterwards. 2 Ex-Flyers 1 Cup.

      • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:52 AM

I doubt if those two would know what to do with a woman !

      • rtrmusic - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:58 AM

Eiggles – I’m pretty sure they know what to do with women, Ask Hartnell.

      • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:51 AM

If I were them I would take the cup on a tour of Philly too ! They could carry the cup up and down Hollywood Blvd and no one would recognize them ! HAAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHAHAAHAHAAHHAHAHHA!

    • rtrmusic - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:33 AM

“A cup with the KinGS can’t even begin to be compared to a cup with the Flyers!”

WTH? The Stanley Cup doesn’t mean more or less depending on which team wins it. The Cup is the Cup. What makes that statement so asinine is that your comparing the Kings Cup victory to a Cup victory the Flyers HAVEN’T had since 1975….

      • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:42 AM

1975 that was 37 years ago and those Flyers still own the town, LA will forget these guys 37 min after the parade in the parking lot ! RICHY and CARTSY KINGS FOREVER !

      • rtrmusic - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:02 AM

they still own the town because the whole city refuses to accept reality and live in the present. if they don’t cling to that ancient success, then they have absolutely nothing, and they are revealed for being the total douchers they are. they can’t accept this reality, so they cling to the past, a past many of their more vocal fans weren’t even around to experience. DENIAL at it’s finest.

      • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:26 AM

FRED SHERO “Win today and walk together forever ” 1975 Flyers Locker room blackboard !
It took the kings 45 years from the time they came into the league to do what the FLYERS did 7 years into the league !

      • jeffersonkostilnick - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:34 AM

They may have done 7 years in, but HAVEN’T done it since!!!!!!!!!!!

      • m1lla7 - Jun 12, 2012 at 3:26 PM

Sounds like Eiggle is a little jealous. I’s this Holmgrens account?

  2. scionofflame - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:41 AM

Wil Wheaton, you’re the best. Long time fan and you’re finally rewarded for it!

Also, Stanley Cup is the same no matter where you want. Congrats to the Kings. Long time coming.

    • scionofflame - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:43 AM

And of course ‘want’ should be ‘win it’. Tired fingers mean lots of typos.

    • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 9:51 AM

I guess this is Wil Wheaton posting how great of a kings fan he’s been ! Frauds in a fake-ass town !

  3. jeffersonkostilnick - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:24 AM

All this talk from Flyer fans is down right embarrassing. Almost as embarrassing as the time I pooped my pants at work. I thought it was going be fart, but it turtled into a shart. Oopsie doopsie I made a pudding whoopsie again….

    • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:43 AM

Your lying you weren’t embarrassed !

    • jeffersonkostilnick - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:47 AM

No, embarrassing at my place of work. However, I wasn’t embarrassed the time I stood up prematurely and a turd dropped on the toilet seat, then I panicked because more was coming out so I sat on it. I thoroughly enjoyed that.

      • eigglesnosuperbowls - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:53 AM

I don’t think hockey is your issue here, good luck with that !

      • jeffersonkostilnick - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:57 AM

I know. My real issue is that I am DANIEL BRIERE. I will NEVER win the CUP. I look like a mental, midget rodent. I constantly crap myself, as well as the bed (figuratively and literally).

  4. girouxsmonsterrod - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:32 AM

Not sure how most Philly fans feel but I’m a big Flyers fan and am happy for Richy and Carter. Was rooting for them in the finals. I like what the Flyers got out of the deals for those 2 guys and would do it again. They are both extremely talented hockey players but weren’t the right guys for our team. GO FLYERS!

  5. bleedingteal4life - Jun 12, 2012 at 10:49 AM

Oh screw will Wheaton. Like he has a team. His team is the flight crew of the enterprise!! Go team Sheldon!!

  6. steelwarriors55 - Jun 12, 2012 at 1:52 PM

Good for them to win the cup but it’s not about them honestly as much as Jonathan Quick.29 other teams lost the cup as well they got lucky they were with J.Quick but you cant say that Philly didnt get good value in return of both deals.I mean Sean Couturier and Jake Voracek for Jeff Carter,it has to be a solid deal for Philly. And if Schenn is the player he’s supposed to be,him and Simmonds for Richards would have been a strong one as well.I still think they should have kept Richards though

Down Goes Brown goes down pretty stale after a few reads…
