Dustin Brown to NBC: “Sorry about the F-bomb”

Sure, post-game interviews are uneventful in many cases, especially after a run-of-the-mill game. That certainly wasn’t how you’d describe the mood on the ice after the Los Angeles Kings won their first-ever Stanley Cup, so you can kind of excuse Dustin Brown for slipping an f-bomb into an interview with Pierre McGuire.

Brown is already having a fun Tuesday with NBC considering the fact that he just finished taping a segment with Jay Leno for The Tonight Show, so perhaps that reminded him to apologize for his on-the-air slip-up.

Perhaps next year we’ll introduce “Ear muffs” mode for big games …

You are forgiven… You just won the most coveted trophy in Hockey, say whatever the hell you want!

You’re guaranteed to hear a few of these during celebrations like this. On CBC you could hear a pretty clear “f***ing right!” during the group photo with the Cup. I always find it funny when live TV mics pick that stuff up.

That’s why we f’ing delay. Says the NBC producer in hindsight.

Funny enough I totally missed that while watching the game.

Still though, you could here “f**k” quite a few times during the celebration… which is going to happen when you have live mics right next to hockey players that just won the cup. I’m sure its expected and no one really cares so no harm, no foul.

I’m pretty sure I heard loud and clear Jarret Stoll scream “F*&%ing Bull$H!T” in game 5 on sunday when he pulled down adam henrique(i think) in the kings crease….right after he and jonathon quick pounded his face in

Didn’t Toews drop one after his Cup win? Or was it the Olympics? Ah, hell, who cares, cut ‘em all some slack, they’re excited. It’s the Cup.

It was Kane that dropped it….

They should have an NHLHBO, where all the players are mic’d up and you can hear them chirp each other.

I knew it. I thought that was what I heard live.
